Linka Conkle is Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences by the NBC-HIS. She has served as a Hearing Aid Dispenser for American Ear Hearing & Audiology since 2006 and specializes in building customized solutions based upon a patient’s lifestyle and hearing loss to help smoothly transition them back into the world of hearing. Her greatest joy in working with patients is when they return to share their experiences with hearing again and the positive impact that has had on their lives.
Linka and her husband, Jacob, have seven children and one grandchild. They enjoy farming and raising their children up in country life.
Summer Smith was born and raised in Plymouth, Indiana as the oldest of four girls. She and her second-youngest sister, Sophia, were both born with hearing loss. With firsthand experience of hearing loss and its effects, Summer believes that every individual deserves to experience the gift of better hearing.
Summer obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Hearing and Audiology from Purdue University. Summer is now dual-licensed in Indiana and Ohio as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.
Outside of work, Summer can be found spending time with her two cats, Coco and Moss. Summer also enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and surrounding herself with great company. Fun fact: Summer’s cat, Coco, is deaf!
Cheryl was born and raised in Zanesville Ohio and graduated from Maysville High School. Cheryl started working at American Ear Hearing & Audiology in 2007 and was drawn to the profession because she wanted a profession that was rewarding as well as helpful to patients.
What Cheryl loves most about saving hearing lives is the response from patient who are fit with hearing aids for the first time. She feels the excitement and gratitude from our patients is the ultimate reward. Cheryl focuses on patient care in her everyday work. Outside of saving hearing lives, Cheryl loves hosting family get togethers at her home with her husband of 32 years.
Stacey decided to make a career change and was hired with American Ear Hearing & Audiology in December 2020.
Stacey is very customer service oriented and strives to make the patient’s visit a pleasant experience. Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. When not spending time with her children, Stacey can be found riding on the back of her husband’s Harley Davidson motorcycle.
